Beamfar

Beamfar changelog: what changed, newest first.

A plain-words list of what was built, with the date. This list is the project’s own history, not a release schedule.

  • Dated, newest first
  • Only what was built
  • What is not tested says so

The newest stops on the line

  1. Client portal New
  2. Seven more alert channels New
  3. Acknowledge and escalate New
The whole list, back to the first check from two regions, is below.

Changes

Each entry is a stop on the line, newest at the top. New, improved, fixed or prepared: the tag says which.

  1. Client portalNew

On the Team and Agency plans, a client contact can be invited to see that one client’s sites, incidents, status pages and reports, read only, with your white label on the Agency plan. The server and the database enforce the limit, and the contact takes no seat.

  2. Seven more alert channelsNew

Alerts can go to Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, Google Chat, PagerDuty, Opsgenie and ntfy on every plan, each confirmed by a test message, and a channel can belong to one client. They were tested against each service’s documented formats, not yet against the services themselves.

  3. Acknowledge and escalateNew

An incident can be acknowledged in the app, through the API or with the signed link in an alert. On the Team and Agency plans, an incident nobody acknowledged within 5 to 120 minutes tells a second channel once, never during a maintenance window.

  4. Real-user speed (Core Web Vitals)New

Each site page and the monthly report show the loading, responsiveness and visual stability real Chrome visitors measured over 28 days, from Google’s Chrome UX Report, rated by Google’s thresholds. A site with too few visits says so.

  5. Status badges and a widgetNew

An opt-in status badge for a site or a status page: an image, a text widget without a frame, or JSON, at an address nobody can guess, on every plan.

  6. Installable app with push notificationsNew

The app can be installed from the browser and send incident alerts as notifications to your own devices through the browsers’ own push services. It was tested with a stand-in push service, not yet on a real phone.

  7. Free tools and samples with demo dataNew

Five free tools need no account: an SSL certificate checker, a domain expiry checker, an indexability checker, a DNS lookup and a security headers checker. A sample status page and a sample monthly report show demo data for made-up sites.

  8. Connect an AI assistantNew

A hosted, read-only MCP server and an app page that makes a key, gives the set-up text for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, and tests the connection.

  9. Status pages on your own domainNew

A status page can be shown on a host name you verify with a DNS record, served with a certificate (Team and Agency plans). It is built and tested offline; it is not yet tested with real DNS and TLS.

  10. Fixes from a browser walk-throughFixed

Every public and app screen was walked through in a real browser. Five problems were fixed, among them DNS blocklist checks that did not run on a split deployment and marketing copy that still called built features not built.

  11. Site crawl and sitemap monitorNew

A plan-limited crawl, daily or weekly, reads a site’s own pages and reports broken pages and links, redirect loops and mixed content. The sitemap is found through robots.txt or /sitemap.xml, checked, counted and sampled.

  12. More check typesNew

Scheduled-task (cron) monitors with a secret ping URL, API checks with assertions, TCP port and reachability checks, DNS blocklist checks and response-time views.

  13. Customer API and MCP serverNew

Organisation API keys, a JSON REST API under /api/v1 on the Agency plan and a read-only MCP server for assistants such as Claude. The API page has the documentation.

  14. Free site checkNew

On the home page and on its own page, anyone can check one public address: whether it answers, its redirects, certificate, DNS, search settings and domain registration date. It stores nothing about the address.

  15. Marketing pagesNew

Features, how it works, pages for agencies and freelancers, a security page, this changelog and a first set of guides (drafts).

  16. Comparison pagesNew

Honest comparisons with UptimeRobot, Site24x7 and Oh Dear, each row with its source and the date it was checked.

  17. First-day findingsNew

After you add sites, the first checks are ranked into what needs attention first: certificates and domains expiring soonest, DNS and redirect facts, and the state of the SEO signals.

  18. Faster with large portfoliosImproved

Database indexes and batched scheduling and ingestion, measured on a development workstation with 7,000 test sites; capacity on production servers is not measured yet.

  19. Stripe test mode and a hosting kitPrepared

A payment provider adapter that works in test mode only, and a deployment kit for a server. Nothing is deployed and nothing can be bought.

  20. White labelNew

On the Agency plan, your name, logo and accent colour appear on client reports and public status pages.

  21. Slack and webhook alertsNew

Alerts can go to Slack or to a signed webhook, with the destination stored sealed.

  22. Domain registration expiryNew

The registration date of each domain is looked up through RDAP, with alerts at 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before it.

  23. A new portfolio viewImproved

Cards with the state of each region, an icon rail, an incident timeline with lanes and illustrated empty states.

  24. SEO-risk alerts, monthly reports and status pagesNew

Alerts for noindex, robots.txt blocking and a canonical moved to another host; one monthly report per client; a public status page per client; bulk add of sites.

  25. Accounts, second factor, organisations and plansNew

Sign-up and sign-in, authenticator-app codes, organisations with roles and row-level security, plan limits, data export and deletion.

  26. The monitoring engineNew

Page, certificate and DNS checks from two regions, and the rule that a site is down only when both agree.

Know before your clients do.

Add your client sites and both regions start checking. Judge the evidence yourself.

No card for the trial.
