What is Ask Beam, and what happens to my questions?

Short answer

Ask Beam is a small assistant. On this website it answers questions about Beamfar from the help centre, the product facts, the plans and the guides, and shows the page each answer comes from. When those pages hold no answer it says “I don’t know” and offers to pass your question to a person. Signed in, it can also read your own sites, read only: which are at risk (security warnings too), why one is down and how sure we are, what changed this week.

Does it use AI?

Ask Beam is an assistant, not a person. When the operator has switched a language model on, it is an AI assistant: answers can be wrong, so check the cited sources. The panel says so under its title from the moment it opens (“Ask Beam is an AI assistant. Answers can be wrong; check the cited sources.”). With no model switched on, which is how it ships, it is an automated search over our own pages, the panel says “an automated assistant, not a person”, and nothing you type leaves our servers.

A model is used only when the operator has switched one on and set a spending limit. In the app it is also a feature of the paid plans: on a trial the assistant answers from your own data without one, and its panel says so. The label under an answer says which: “Best match in our documentation” means no AI was used, and “AI answer” means a language model wrote it from the pages shown, and a check on our side accepted it. An AI answer can still be wrong, so use the links.

What it will not do

  • It changes nothing. It cannot edit a site, a setting, an alert, a member or a plan.
  • It does not invent customers, prices, discounts or features. A number in an answer comes from a page or from your data.
  • It gives no legal, tax or compliance advice. The legal pages are version 1, in force from 2 November 2026.
  • It does not follow instructions written inside a question or inside a monitored site’s text.

What is stored and what is sent

Your questions and its answers are not stored: the conversation lives in the browser tab and is gone when you close it. The service keeps only a counter that limits how often one network can ask. When a language model is on, your question goes to the model’s provider with the matching pages (in the app, with what the read-only tools returned); e-mail addresses, keys, web addresses and card-like numbers are replaced first on the website. Do not type passwords or personal data. Ask Beam is not on the public status pages of your clients: the people who read those pages are never asked anything and nothing about their visits reaches a model provider. The privacy notice has the details.

Reaching a person

Choose “Send a message to a person” under an answer. You read what will be sent, tick a box to agree, and press Send; it arrives as a support request like any other (how support works). Nothing is sent before you do.

Still stuck?

Tell us what you tried and what you saw. A person reads it and answers by e-mail.

Beamfar is in its soft launch: the 14-day trial is free and needs no card, and paid plans open soon; their prices may change before then. These answers describe what the app does today.
