Good to know
- Notifications are per device and per organisation, and they are yours: only you see, test or remove your devices. They do not count as an alert channel of the plan.
- A device gets only what you may see: a client contact in a client portal gets that client’s incidents only.
- They use your browser’s own push service (Google’s for Chrome and Edge on Android, Mozilla’s for Firefox, Apple’s for Safari, Microsoft’s on Windows). The message is encrypted for your browser, so the push service carries it without reading it. It says which site, what happened and links to the app; the evidence stays in the app.
- To stop them, press Turn off next to the device, or block notifications for the site in the browser.
- The installed app keeps only its own static files (styles, scripts, fonts and images) for a fast start; it does not keep what the app shows you.
- This works on every plan once the service has been set up for notifications; until then the page says it is not set up. Push was tested with a stand-in for the browsers’ push services, not yet with a real phone.
