Account and billing

I lost my phone or my recovery codes. What now?

Short answer

If you still have a recovery code, sign in with it instead of the six-digit code. Each code works once. If you have none, an owner of your organisation can reset your second factor, or support can.

If you have a recovery code

Enter it where the app asks for the code. After you sign in, make new recovery codes under Account security: the old ones stop working at once.

If you have no code

  • You are an admin, member or viewer: an owner of your organisation can use Reset two-factor sign-in next to your name on the Members page, as long as you belong to no other organisation. You set it up again at your next sign-in.
  • You are an owner, you belong to several organisations, or there is no other owner: support does it. Use the contact page, choose My account or sign-in and write from the e-mail address of the account.

What support asks first

Support answers only to the address of the account, never to another one named in the message. You will be asked to complete a password reset from the link the app sends, which shows that you control the address and know a password; support never sees or sets your password. For an owner of an organisation with a billing account, support also asks for a detail that only the paying customer has, for example the number of a recent invoice. After the reset, every session ends, the account gets an e-mail that names who reset it, and you sign in with your password and set up the second factor again.

Support never asks for your password, a recovery code or an API key.
