Start. Know before your clients do. This is your first day with Beamfar.
Sign up. Sign up with your e-mail address, confirm it, and name your agency.
Add sites. Paste your clients’ sites, and the first results arrive live.
Two regions. A site is down only when two regions agree. If just one region fails, it is a regional issue, and nobody gets an alert.
The alert. When both regions agree, the alert goes out by e-mail, Slack or webhook, and lists what each region saw.
Why it happened. Why this happened names the likely cause, shows its confidence, and says unknown when the evidence points nowhere. Message your client writes the note for you to edit.
Your client. Each client can have a public status page that shows confirmed incidents only, and a monthly report with every number from a stored check.
End. Beamfar. Know first. Know why. Tell your client before they call.
No answer matches that.
Try fewer or other words, or contact support: a person reads every message.

Getting started
Add your first sites and bring in your team.
- How do I add my first site?Paste your sites one per line; each gets a page, certificate and DNS check at once.
- How do I invite a colleague, and what can they do?Invite by e-mail with a role: owner, admin, member or viewer.
Alerts and checks
Which checks run on a site, and how an alert reaches you.
- Which checks does a site get?Page, certificate and DNS first; API, port, reachability, blocklist and scheduled-task checks can be added.
- How do I get alerted when a site is down?Add an address on the Alerts page, confirm it and send a test message.
- How do I send alerts to Slack or a webhook?Add a Slack incoming webhook or a signed webhook; a test message must be accepted first.
- How do I send alerts to Teams, Discord or PagerDuty?Pick the service on the Alerts page, paste what it asks for; a test message confirms it.
- Why did I get no alert when one region saw an error?A site is called down only when two regions agree; one region alone is a regional issue.
- How do I acknowledge an incident or escalate it?Acknowledge from the app, the e-mail or the chat message; escalation tells a second channel once.
- What is on an incident page? The rule, the checks from each region and what changed before the incident.
- How do I monitor a scheduled task (cron)?Your job calls a secret URL when it finishes; a missed call opens an incident.
- How do I schedule planned maintenance?Schedule a window under Alerts; alerts are held back and the time is left out of uptime.
- Can I be told when DNS records change?Choose the record groups to watch on the site page; a confirmed change says what was added or removed.
- Where do the real-user speed figures come from?Google’s Chrome UX Report: what real Chrome visitors measured over 28 days, looked up once a day.
- How do I get alerts on my phone?Install the app from the browser and turn on notifications for that device.
Status pages and reports
What your clients see, and the monthly report.
- How do I publish a status page for a client?Create a page, tick its sites and switch on Published; nothing is public before that.
- Can a status page use my own domain?Built for Team, Agency and Agency Plus, with two DNS records; not yet tested with real DNS and TLS.
- How does the monthly client report work?Made on the 1st for the month before; preview, print or save as PDF, and send it yourself.
- How do I put my agency’s name on client reports?Set a display name, colour and logo on Branding; part of the Agency and Agency Plus plans.
- Can my clients get status updates by e-mail?Visitors subscribe on the status page, confirm once, and get incident e-mails with a one-click unsubscribe.
- How do I give a client read-only access to their sites?Invite a client contact who sees that client’s sites, incidents and reports, read only.
- How do I show a status badge on a client’s site?Make a badge on the site or status page, paste the code; remove it to make it stop.
Integrations
The API, its keys and connecting an assistant.
- How do I use the API?Make a read or write key on the API keys page; the key is shown once.
- Can I connect an AI assistant (MCP)?Settings, AI assistants makes a read-only key, gives the set-up text and tests the connection.
Account and billing
Two-factor sign-in, the trial, plans and cancelling.
- How do I set up two-factor sign-in?Use an authenticator app and save the ten recovery codes; owners and admins must.
- I lost my phone or my recovery codes. What now?Use a recovery code, ask an owner to reset it, or ask support; what support asks first.
- How do the trial, plans and cancelling work?A 14-day trial without a card, paid plans soon; an owner cancels on the Billing page in one step.
- Do I get a receipt or an invoice? An invoice for every payment, business or individual; a card payment gets no chitanta.
Data and privacy
What is kept, and how to export or delete it.
- How do I export or delete my data?Export a ZIP of JSON and CSV, download it once; delete an organisation or your account after a grace period.
- What personal data does the service keep?Account, sessions, your setup, support messages, billing records and a security log; one sign-in cookie.
Support
How to reach a person, and what happens next.
- How do I contact support, and what happens next?Use Help and support in the app, or the contact page without an account; never send secrets.
- What is Ask Beam, and what happens to my questions?Answers from the documentation with a link under each one; in the app it reads your own sites, read only.
